I can’t believe I finished this so quickly. I cast on Oct. 7, just before we left for Cambria. That means I managed to finish it in about 3 weeks. Not bad for my second sweater ever!
I’m super happy with the color I picked out. And this pattern was super easy to do as well. Top-down, in the round, no seaming, and just a bunch of knits and purls (with a few k2tog and m1′s on the side seams for increasing/decreasing occasionally). Couldn’t have been much easier.
The pattern suggested some positive ease to make it a bit slouchy, and I was concerned that the neck would be too close (recall that I have this problem with sewing patterns), so I made a size bigger than my measurements indicated. In the end, I think I could have done a size smaller than my measurements indicated.
It’s a bit extra slouchy and tends to do an off-the-shoulder thing when I’m not looking. But it was so easy to do that I’m hoping to make another one.
But it will have to wait until some other projects are finished first – like the short list of holiday sewing that I have. I managed to cut fabric for the first item on my list the other day, so I’m working on it!
Oh – and don’t forget about the giveaway!
