Knitted Christmas Gift #9

I’ve branched out a bit with this project and made something I’ve never made before — fingerless gloves!

Toasty Fingerless Gloves

These are officially knitted Christmas gift #9. I am pondering 2 more knitted gifts to be completed in the next two weeks (in time for shipping), but those will depend on whether or not I have time to figure something out while I’m at work over the weekend or not (which will depend greatly on how busy we are!).

At any rate, I went for the magic loop on these and was really happy with it. It was a bit awkward for the first few rounds, but then was really easy after that. So much better than the DPNs!

Incidentally, these are made from the same pattern as the ones that Terri made for me last year. My gauge turned out a little small, but I think they’ll be perfect for the intended recipient.

I used Misti Alpaca worsted yarn, which is super fabulously soft, in a dark gray color. If you’re interested, you’ll find all the details and a few more photos on my Ravelry page.

We are clearly moving into the perpetually-bad-light-for-photography time of year here in Northern California. It’s always such a challenge for these few months to get decent photos for the blog, but I’ll do what I can!
