Today for our shop-hop we’ll be checking out Golden State Sewing Center in Campbell, CA.
**Please note that I didn’t do a thorough inventory of each of these stores, so if I say I didn’t see something, it doesn’t mean they definitely didn’t have it, I just didn’t see it.
Web site: Golden State Sewing Center.
Location: 2435 South Winchester Blvd, Campbell, CA, in the Cinelux Plaza. Looks like the map has this labeled as Campbell Plaza Shopping Center, but the sign said Cinelux Plaza.
The store has only a “Quilt Shop” sign again, so look for the Dollar Tree, since it’s just to the left of that.

Watch out for the small attack dog! She claimed he was harmless, but he did run barking to the door every time someone else came in, and occasionally forgot I was there and would bark at me when I came around the corner.

Basic Fabrics: This shop carries a varied assortment of fabrics, including Asian prints, some kids prints, and some Moda fabrics.

The batik selection is fairly large.

Designer Fabrics: I saw one Amy Butler print in here, but the crown jewel of this store, in my opinion, is the Kaffe Fassett collection. Wowzers. I’ve never seen this much Kaffe Fassett in one place. Nearly all the fabrics in the next three photos are Kaffe Fassett (and I don’t think I photographed all of it). Includes his shot cottons as well, and some nice stripes.

Other Types of Fabrics: I saw a little minkee and some flannels, which are shown below.

Sales Section: I did not see a section of sales fabrics.
Classroom: There was a small classroom in the back, but I did not get a photo of it.
Batting and Notions: A small selection of notions. I don’t have any photos that show batting and I just can’t remember what they had.

Machines: This shop sells Elna and Babylock machines.

Other Items: I saw Gee’s Bend quilt kits in this shop, as well as Tutto bags, and a fairly typical selection of books and patterns. This shop also has a long-arm quilting service. It’s set up right inside the front window (in the back of the photo above).
Next stop on the tour: Natural Expressions, Los Gatos, CA.
