Another quick Christmas gift completed. Note that I just can’t deal with not posting about what I’m working on, even if it is gifts for other people. I just figure that either 1) they aren’t reading this or b) they won’t know it’s for them if I don’t say who it’s for. Or iii) they’ll have forgotten all about it by the time Christmas gets here. That’s just how I roll.
This is a set of coasters. Quick and easy. Basically, it’s the ones from the Denyse Schmidt Quilts book, except that I didn’t bother with the pattern pieces and just stacked up all the fabrics, cut them into six different-sized pieces, mixed them up, and sewed them back together. MUCH easier than the first time I made these and followed the instructions!

I’m also working on binding two small quilts, both of which should be ready to show you soon!

Haha I’m always nervous to post about gifts till they’re received! The coasters are gorgeous btw
Ooh and I have a bunch of that hippo fabric that I’m dying to use but I’ve got tonnes of other projects to finish first! It’s so cute hehe
These coasters are going to make great gifts! I especially love the color combinations. And I love your process – skip the instructions!
Cute coasters! I need to get my hands on some of that Laura Gunn fabric…
Oooo… awesome gift idea!!!! I think I see a set of these in my holiday gifting future. Thanks so much for sharing.
