Three Bags for Three Beachgoers

Wednesday I’m off to South Padre Island, Texas, with some old college friends. You can’t go to the beach without beach bags!

Eek! Sushi fabric on the inside!

These were made by following this tutorial, for the most part. I used a strip of canvas ducking between the two layers of fabric for the handles to stiffen them up. And these *really* needed interfacing but I didn’t have any. What can I say. I’m lazy that way. Ah well. I’ll be able to get them all into my one backpack for the plane much more easily this way!

Thanks for sharing these. I’ve been thinking about making market bags & found a great tutorial for those at the same blog. I could get lost in sewing blogs for hours! It is such a great community. Thanks for being part of that!
