Wow, I have tons of little things on my list to talk about, so here goes!
1. My last post was post number 100! Woo hoo! And I totally did not notice until today. Yeah me anyhow!
2. I am down to just the hand stitching of the binding on the Amsterdam quilt. But I have gotten sidetracked by some other things (see below).
3. I have selected my palette for making a Plain Spoken quilt from The Modern Quilt Workshop. This project is so old that it didn’t even make The List, but I have been wanting for ages to make something inspired by those McCoy pots in my banner. Even bought fabric in Pacifica with a vague plan in mind. When I saw the Plain Spoken pattern I knew that’s what I would make.

I actually have the rows assembled and all I have to do is pin and sew (and then press) and the top will be finished!
4. I received a Kreativ Blogger award from Tami at Pixeltrashamania. Thanks Tami!! I’m so honored that someone likes my blog enough to give me an award!

5. Amy from During Quiet Time made a camera case using my Cozy Camera Case Tutorial. She made some nifty modifications for her small son’s camera. Love it!!
6. I scored some baby food jars from Freecycle that are perfect for my vintage buttons and lots of other little bits. Awesome!

7. I’m taking a short sewing break while I do the Final Project for the Photoshop class I’m taking. We have to do a book cover. I’m doing a cover for a book on quilts (bet you’d never have guessed that!).
8. In the last week I have learned that one friend is having a baby and another friend is getting married (tomorrow!!!!). Definitely have to add another baby gift to the list. Not sure what to do for a wedding you get one day’s notice on (granted, they only decided last weekend!).
9. Tomorrow is the date I can sign up for online classes for the spring quarter. I’m planning to take the Adobe Flash class, Graphic Design Studio I, and Color (from the Art Department). The last two quarters I’ve taken one course, but since I’m not working I thought I would crank it up a notch or two. I’m excited, but I may not get as much sewing done as I would like!
10. However, I’m also signed up for some sewing classes. Later this month a one-part class on paper piecing and a two-part class on circles and curves (we’re doing the Drunkard’s Path, which is on The List!), and then in May a four-part class on pattern drafting. Busy, busy!

Hey there,
Where are you taking your online classes? I would love to take some of the types of classes that you are talking about.
Thanks! And, your list looks like so much fun!
Love the baby food jar idea! I have a ton in our garage that I’ve been saving for “someday,” so I just might need to dust them off and do this. I have tons of stuff crammed into drawers; this way I could see what I have and actually use it instead of buying more!
Love the palette you chose for the plain spoken quilt! Can’t wait to see how it turns out
congrats on the award and 100th post. Looks like you are going to be one busy lady.
congrats on making 100 posts. Hurray!
