My brother is in town and today we did a little sight seeing.
First a visit to the Redwood trees in Big Basin State Park.

The recent rains have produced a bumper crop of moss.

Then it was time to hit the beach in Santa Cruz.

The boardwalk was quiet in the off season.

As were the lifeguard stands.

And just because I love the colors in this photo and I can, here’s the same shot with a color palette picked out of it. I love doing this!

WOW! Beautiful!
Wow, fabulous day! I have always wanted to see the Redwoods. And that beach looks so inviting and relaxing.
Thanks for sharing the color palette – what a cool tool !
man o man – I moved from the Santa Cruz Mtns to long island – heavy sigh – it is so cool to see these pics – really makes me even more wistful – I am freezing here and my husband is at his dad’s in San Jose – thanks for the great post – I will look at it all day!!!!
Picture is awesome, and I am so going to have to try the color swatch thingy. I am sure this already so obvious, but I love that it looks like selvage.
