While sometimes progress feels kind of like this…

…it hasn’t seemed like that this week! I’ve been knocking out things on The List. (Which, incidentally, has had two or three more things added to it. Of course.)
I really loved these scraps from my first completed project this week.

These were from item #4, the fabric gift tags. These were fast and fun! I opted to hold off on punching holes and putting ribbon through them in case I want to just put one in a box or tape it on or need to tie it to something first.

The second project was the note cards, item #5. These were even quicker and more fun! Imagine making gift tags that match the cards. I made four with a bunch of Heather Bailey scraps. I really love these fabrics. Then I made two from leftovers from a Christmas gift, one from leftovers from the recent baby gift, and one with balloons, just to mix it up. Fun fun!

The last completed project was that cute shower cap, item #8. It’s a good thing I like how this turned out, because I sewed my finger with the machine while putting in the blasted elastic. Oh yes. It hurt and bled a LOT. Fortunately I missed the bone and the nail and I’m current on my tetanus. I will live to sew another day! (Oh — and I’m feeling a bit prescient. Scroll down to just above the “Anyhoo” on this post. Freaky.)
I didn’t have the patience to find the rip-stop nylon this called for, so I just used my own shower cap from the drug store that was too big anyhow. Worked perfectly (so far!). Even got to use my teflon foot AND my adjustable bias binding foot. Cool.

I am totally cracking myself up with these photos. As you can see from this post, I’m experimenting with some new-found Photoshop skillz.

You are having way too much fun! It’s great to see all your productivity lately!
Those tags and cards are so cute! That is such a fun way to use up scraps (and remind to send more letters).
I hope your finger feels better. I got a needle stuck/scraped in between the side of the nail and the skin and it really hurt. Ouch…the things we endure for this hobby
