So, I had to add a new item to my List when I heard about the Bush Fire Quilt Project. Check out the link to read all about it. This is a great way to help out for anyone who can piece together a wonky star!

These are the four blocks I have made and am getting ready to ship out today. The top right and bottom left stars were attempts to make something a bit more masculine, since they indicated that it is usually hard to make quilts for teenage boys, etc.
I gotta say, these are almost more fun than should be legal. As a bonus, this goes towards #13 on my List as well — trying out some more Liberated Quiltmaking. The process here is basically the base construction technique that Gwen describes in her book. And it really is an unbelievable amount of fun. I think one reason I like it is because you get to change up the cutting and pressing and sewing so that you don’t do one thing for an hour at a time and give yourself repetitive motion injuries. Which are very bad!
Oh! And Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

What a great blog! I love your stars for the Australia project. I am from Kentucky too…but now in NC. I like how you have numbered your completed projects in the right column. You have some great quilts to your credit…and for our inspiration.
