I was at my local quilting shop for class last Friday night, and when I went downstairs during our break, the young ladies working in the store were having themselves a grand old time. They had taken a piece of paper dolls clothes fabric, applied some flannel to the back, and then cut out all the little outfits and were busy dressing up the little girls on the paper dolls fabric. It looked like so much fun! Also, it reminded me of some of some paper dolls my sister and I had when we were little.

I’m not sure how I ended up with both of these. My sister must have both of something else.
Here they are without any outfits.

A little going-out attire. I loved that these were sew-on outfits. They came with several colors of what were basically shoestrings for attaching the clothes.

And some more casual attire. My sister and I totally had crocheted ponchos like that in the mid-70s (though they were solid beige)!
Maybe my love of sewing all started here!
Just so you know, I’m not sure how much posting I’ll manage next week. I’m in Boston (heading up to the company HQ) Sunday to Thursday, back for my last sewing class on Thursday night, then off Friday to Sunday to visit friends in Boise. And some homework assignments due in there as well. But I’ll try to at least post some photos of my travels (though I don’t think the inside of an office building will be that interesting, and is likely to be all I see on the work trip!).
